The Country Artist took the Stage at Bogarts in Cincinnati during his "Down Home Tour" on April 28th. Along with Allen was Neon Union and Chayce Beckham who opened for the star. Jimmie Allen is a 36-year-old artist who recently won an ACMA for New Male Artist of the Year, and a CMA for New artist.
Neon Union is a duo group consisting of Andrew Millsaps and Leo Brooks. Leo is a Grammy Award winner for collaborating with artists including: Pitbull, Lauryn Hill, Jennifer Lopez, Mary J. Blige, Cee Lo Green, and John Legend. Andrew was a semi-finalist in the "Music City Song Star Competition" and earned first place in the "Merlefest Chris Austen Songwriting Contest". Jimmie Allen introduced Leo and Andrew to each other in Nashville after seeing each of them perform as solo artists. It was Jimmie's suggestion that they join forces and become the first Black & White Duo in Country music. They took Jimmie up on that idea as well as his offer to manage them with his business parter, Aaron Benward at Jab Entertainment.
The pair ultimately joined Allen on his first debut tour after they released their first single.
Chayce Beckham is a 26-year-old singer-songwriter from Apple Valley, California, who rose to fame after winning the nineteenth season of the singing reality show American Idol. Beckham gained popularity with his song "23" which is a semi-autobiographical account of his struggles with alcohol and of the lows it can take on a person. Beckham has joined Allen on his tour as one of the opening acts.
