Outer Banks is back as Season Three has been announced to have begun filming on March 1st. The hit Netflix series has become very popular with its first two seasons.
Season one follows John B when he enlists the help of his three best friends (Kie, Pope, and JJ) to hunt for a legendary treasure linked to his father's disappearance. Along the way he falls in love with local Kook Sarah, and the group of five take on the hunt together. The group ends up finding the treasure but gets tricked by Sarahs dad, Ward Cameron. At the end of the season Sarah and John B are rumored to be dead at Sea while trying to escape on a boat from cops and the Cameron's.
Season two picks up with Kie, Pope, and JJ and the aftermath of Sarah and John B's passings. Later in the season it is revealed that the pair are still alive and the hunt to take the treasure back from Sarah's family continues where it left off from season 1. As the season continues, it is revealed that there is a second hunt for the Santo Domingo Cross belonging to Pope's family. When Ward ends up stealing the cross and making off with the Gold at the end of the season the Pogues are left stranded on an island, missing.
The Pogues feature Chase Stokes as John B, Madelyn Cline as Sarah Cameron, Madison Bailey as Kie, Jonathan Daviss as Pope Heyward, and Rudy Pankow as JJ.
The Kooks feature Topper played by Austin North, Rafe Cameron played by Drew Starkey, and Ward Cameron played by Charles Esten.
Looking into season three: "The war between the Camerons and the Pogues is likely to continue with Pope wanting to retrieve the now stolen golden cross. Pope, while fleeing the large vessel says “it’s not over” as they seek refuge on a remote abandoned island. They decide to stay on the island but the likelihood is they won’t be long especially given their family has reported them missing.
Pope will also likely continue to find out his family’s connection to the Cross of Santo Domingo."
