The Golden Globes Head Into 2022 With No Audience, No Red Carpet, and No Telecast of the Award Show

On January 9th, CNN reported that NBC will cancel its award show ceremony in response to the HFPA being criticized for "lack of diversity among its membership and unethical business practices," as reported by Variety.


Due to the award shows cancellation, the winners were announced on Twitter. Since the scales the HFPA has added 21 new members, adding some members of color.


Some notable winners were...


Andrew Garfield for Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture, Musical or Comedy in his film "Tick, Tick... Boom!" and Billie Eilish for Best Original Song, Motion Picture with "No Time to Die." Yet, the big winners of the night were 'Succession' and 'Power of the Dog.'
