It's 2022, and the Euphoria season 2 premiere was released on Sunday January 9th. "Euphoria follows a group of high school students as they navigate love and friendships in a world of drugs, sex, trauma and social media," according to HBO's description of the series.
Ahead of the premiere Zendaya was quick to remind fans that despite having her presence in the series, the series is for "Mature Audiences." The Star, who plays Rue Bennett, wrote in an Instagram post, "I know I've said this before, but I do want to reiterate to everyone that Euphoria is for mature audiences. This season, maybe even more so than the last, is deeply emotional and deals with subject matter that can be triggering and difficult to watch. Please only watch it if you feel comfortable. Take care of yourself and know that either way you are still loved and I can still feel your support. All my love, Daya." Her post earned more than 3 million likes.
The instagram account for Euphoria also posted on their story, "If you or someone you love needs help, text EUPHORIA to 741741 to connect with Crisis Text Line. Visit EuphoriaResources.com for more."
Even though there were these warnings ahead of the series opener, 'Euphoria' set a record for the strongest digital premiere for an HBO series hitting 2.4M viewers across both HBO and HBO+.
